Visiting The Church

Right next to our school is a church everyone in Richmond knows as "The Church On The Hill". Susan is the Vicar at the church and Room 14 is very lucky to have her coming into our room to help and read to children each week. She also comes to talk to children in the playground sometimes at lunch time. Today we were especially lucky to go over to the church and have a look around. Susan showed us the alter and many other things. She let five children ring the bell. Thank you Susan. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Science Exploration

Today we did another science activity. Mrs Eden showed us how molecules move around to get away from each other.By doing this activity we were able to see how detergent works to move food off our plates when we are washing the dishes. We put food colouring into milk and then we put some detergent into the milk mixture. It was fun seeing the patterns as the molecules moved around.
