Showing Our Thinking In Maths

We are learning to show our thinking in Maths. We are learning to use lots of equipment
to represent numbers. These pictures are all about seven. Can you think of other
ways we could make an idea about seven?

Fish For The Future

Mr and Mrs Minstrel came to school today. The Minstrel sang and
Mrs Minstrel taught us dances. We learn lots of important facts about
fishing and ensuring there are fish for future generations to catch.
Some of the important facts we learnt were:
Use a ruler to measure fish- put the small ones back so they can grow.
Put the really big ones back- they might contain eggs to grow more fish.
Use a wet towel to handle fish.
Put the fish you catch on salty ice.
Always wear a life jacket.
Have a flare in your boat to help rescuers locate you if you
 have an emergency
Never fish in a Marine Reserve.

This is a song Mr and Mrs Minstrel taught us.
