Skyping With Room 12

Today we skyped with Room 12 to share some of our knowledge about Space. Thank you  Room 12. We really enjoyed it.

Learning About Geologists.

Today the Seahorse group were reading a story from the Junior Journal 21. It was called Rock Doc. All of the group became very interested in the tasks the Geologist does. After they had read the story they took the class magnifying glasses and collected some rocks from our playground. They studied their rocks and then they used the app Puppet to make this video. Mrs Eden was very proud of the way they worked as a group.

We Know about Space

Today Mrs Eden put a new app on the ipads. It only took us a few minutes to learn how to use it. The app is called Shadow Puppet. We were able to work in groups to take photos of each other and record some facts we know about Space. We then made videos. Mrs Eden put three of our videos together.

End Of Another Busy Week

Ruby made this wonderful astronaut picture. 

We did Geometry this week.  We did a unit called Arty Shapes. 

We compared shapes two famous artists used in their paintings.

We tried to make a Picasso picture and a Piet Mondrian. We really enjoyed this unit.

We used foam shapes to make pictures. We also talked about shapes architects use in their plans.

Oh what a busy week it has been and it was only a four day week because of Queen's Birthday.

Kahn spent many hours over the weekend making this wonderful diorama about the solar system. He even put a space station in his model. We were very impressed Kahn. You know so much about Space now Kahn. Keep up the good work.
