This term our whole school will be doing an Inquiry Learning unit on Ancient Civilizations.Mrs Eden has started making a wall display for day one. We will do a KWHL to find out what we know and what we would like to find out.

The Rock Pool Model

Today Theo and Chihiro came to share their rock pool model with us. These two boys are in our
English Language Learners class and they have been working very hard to make this wonderful display while they have been learning about a rock pool.Mrs Westley is their teacher. Thank you so much Mrs Westley for helping the boys share their model. We were very impressed.

Richard DeHamel

Richard DeHamel told us about how crabs feed and hide in the mud on the estuary. We pretended to be crabs. Richard is a Marine Educator. He used to be the teacher we visited at the Mapua Touch The Sea Aquarium before it sadly got burnt down.

Our class enjoys discussions and opportunities to share existing knowledge and new vocabulary. Today we talked about what "changing seasons" means.
