Buddy Class 2016

Each year at our school each class is  paired with another room so that we have a buddy class. This helps children to get to know pupils from another area of the school. Often the buddy children find each other and play in the playground. Today we had our first meet up with Room 9, our buddy class for 2016. We read books under the trees in the shade. We really enjoyed it Miss K and Room 9.

26 February Discovery Time

 We made popcorn.

 It was yummy.

We had the car mat outside.

 We played with the blocks.

 We made flowers.

We made dye pictures with white crayons.

 Danielle helped us make flowers.

Our Washbourn Gardens Visit.

Thank you to the lovely group of parents who walked with us to Washbourn Gardens this morning. We had lots of fun.

We enjoyed eating our morning tea before we returned to school.

Discovery Time 19 February

Today at Discovery Time the concrete was a little too wet to work out side so we had some fun inside. We played in the tent, made a hut under the table, used play dough, made paper bag masks like the book "Sam's Mask", made patterns with stamps and constructed with the wooden blocks. Our focus was sharing, taking turns and helping each other with creative activities. We were able to reflect on the success of our session today.

Sorting Objects In Maths

This week we have been doing Statistics for Maths. We have been sharing ideas about how we can sort and group objects. Today we worked in groups to talk about how we could sort and group these teddies.  Mrs Eden was impressed when she walked around listening to our discussions.
