What A Busy Day

We had a very busy day today.
Mrs Eden organised an activity for us to do with our
buddy class Room 1. Each pair of buddies had
an envelope, a rubber band, a paper clip,
a square of paper, an ice block stick,
several sticky dots and a sticky label.
We had 12 minutes to design and make something.
We had to name our creation and present it to the group.
We had fun and and we all made different things.

At 10.20am we were lucky to go out and see two stock cars from
the Tigers Club. The Y0-1 syndicate has been
learning about the stock cars and they organised
for the visit. The drivers started the cars up and they made a very
loud noise. Many of us enjoy going to the
Speedway to see the stock cars racing each Saturday.

At lunch time Harold came out to see us having our lunch.

At  5.00 pm tonight we went
back to school
 for the family Feast.
Our syndicate did  some of the songs,
poi dances and the haka we did
for our kapahaka performance at
our recent hangi.

It was  cold and raining but our teachers were proud of us.
Happy weekend everyone.

Life Education 25 November

We had our second visit to the Life Education mobile classroom today. Harold went to Jacko's birthday party. He only had bananas to eat. We had to help Harold to teach Jacko what a "balanced" diet would have in it. There was lots of different foods. We had to decide where they would go on the Food Pyramid.

Today it was sunny, but it was also windy.  We could not have our Athletics Sports as planned yesterday because it rained. Everyone  enjoyed our sports today. Lots of parents came to watch. We did long jump, high jump, hurdles, throwing , and relays. We had sprint races. Well done Sophie. She got the certificate for second in the 6 year old girls.
