In Room 16, we have been watching and waiting patiently for our Monarch butterfly's to emerge form their chrysalis. About three weeks after the caterpillars changed into a chrysalis, we began to notice the chrysalis changing from green to black. After 3 days, we could see the beautiful butterfly wings through the walls of the chrysalis, and then finally Monarch's emerged! It took a few more hours for their wings to dry before they were finally free!
