ANZAC

We are learning about ANZAC Day. We saw the medals. I felt sad for the soldiers. Some died. Some survived. The ones that survived I felt very proud of. I saw guns. I saw the nurse and her army ambulance. When the army people get hurt they will come to her and she will help them.

ANZAC Day is when people wear a poppy to remember those who died for us because 100 years ago some people died. Police wear a poppy. We have made some poppies.

This morning we arrived at school to a big surprise. The teachers had organised a fantastic display about ANZAC and Gallipoli to launch our Inquiry Learning topic on Aotearoa.

We would like to especially thank all the people in our community who shared their historic vehicles, guns, medals,  uniforms and wisdom. We are really looking forward to developing our knowledge and understanding.

Story Writing Today

I got a car tee-shirt. It is cool. I shared it with the class. I was the reporter. I shared my news and Isabel's news. It was about fairies. It was a beautiful book. It is fun to find things in it. Isabel is beautiful too.

Wilbur is the Easter Bunny. He got sick. his friends are helping him to deliver the eggs. But the bunnies couldn't do it so they had to wake Wilbur up.  He put the eggs in the trees.
