Athletics Day

Today it was sunny, but it was also windy.  We could not have our Athletics Sports as planned yesterday because it rained. Everyone  enjoyed our sports today. Lots of parents came to watch. We did long jump, high jump, hurdles, throwing , and relays. We had sprint races. Well done Sophie. She got the certificate for second in the 6 year old girls.

Ronald McDonald

Ronald McDonald came to visit.
We sang the "Make It Click" song.
We must always wear a seat belt when we ride in the car.
We also sang the road safety song.
Stop, Look and Listen,
Before you cross the street.
Use your eyes,
Use your ears,
before you use your feet.

Ronald McDonald was very funny. We laughed and laughed.

Our Bottle Gardens

A huge thank you to the wonderful mothers who helped us today to make our bottle gardens.
You were amazing! Mrs Eden feels very lucky to have such awesome parents who enjoy being involved in our class programmes. The children so enjoyed having you  with us this morning.

We are proud of our gardens.

Waimea College Jazz Band

This afternoon we were very lucky to be entertained by The Waimea College Jazz Band.
They are year 12 and 13 pupils. One of the saxophone players was James and he is an ex pupil of Richmond School. We learnt about the instruments and how they do solos and improvise their own music. Many of the children from our school will go to Waimea College and will have wonderful opportunities to be involved with music. Thank you so much to this band. We really enjoyed it.
