Swimming Progress.

Riley; I like to do butterfly because I am proud of it. At the end I like being thrown in the air. I like back stroke because it is fun.
Lincoln:When we do swimming I am proud of my side stroke.
In the wave pool I practise swimming. I like swimming lessons because I like swimming. I like my swimming teacher. Swimming is fun.
Rees: I am proud of my kicking. I like the wave pool because it is fun because I dive in the wave pool. It is really cool. I like what happened today.
Tayla: At swimming I like it because I am a good swimmer. I love swimming. It is fun.
Jordyn:I am proud of the way I can float on my back. I have fun floating on my front with a life jacket. I like it when we have fun together,
Michael At swimming I am good at floating on my back and I can do a wave too.I can do a good trick. 
Jayde:At swimming I am proud of the way I have learnt overarm, butterfly and breast stroke. At the end of swimming Daryl throws all of us in the air. That is my favourite bit about swimming lessons.
Holly At the Aquatic Centre my teacher helps us. In the wave pool I am learning my swimming. I dive in the wave pool.
Jessica: At swimming I kicked with my board and it was fun. The best thing is floating on my back. The best also is the wave pool. I go there by bus. It is fun.

Kaitlyn At swimming time I am proud of kicking really fast and I also love playing in the pool. I like the lazy river because I do not have to kick. I like swimming. You must like it too! What do you like about swimming?
Zoe:I am proud of swimming breast stroke and butterfly kick. My instructor  is called Daryl. I love to dive in the pool. It makes me have lots of fun. I like when Daryl throws me higher than everyone. How to do butterfly: You have to put your head down and your butt out and then swim to the end of the swimming pool. I have lots of fun learning to swim every day. 
Nina: We went to the ASB in the bus. When we got there we got our togs on of course. First we went in  the wave pool and had a long play. Well I thought we had a long play! Then we did swimming lessons. I am proud of my butterfly kick at swimming. We have a white thing to stand on because the water is deep.
Tyler A I am proud of my kicking because I go fast. I am also proud of my diving. My favourite thing is butterfly.
Nissi: At the Aquatic Centre fore swimming lessons we are learning to do overarm. Bebe says I am the best and  I am proud of my overarm.
Tyler P At swimming I love doing overarm because it is fun. It is really good and cool at swimming.
Alyssa:I am proud of the way I do overarm at swimming lessons. My teacher is called Daryl. At swimming we do back stroke and butterfly kick. At the end Daryl throws me, Tyler, Riley, Zoe, Jayde and Nina. Sometimes Daryl throws me up really high. Sometimes we dive in the deep end and I like Daryl. He is cool.

Buddy Class Activity

Today our Buddy Class Room 6 came to visit our class. Mrs Eden had shown us how to make a puppet from an envelope. We were able to teach our buddy to make a puppet.
 You need 1 long envelope.

• Seal it.
• Cut the envelope in half.
• Now you will have two square shapes you can put on your hand like a puppet.
• On the open end, cut the two corners off to make 2 triangle shapes.
• These are the ears for your animal.

Swimming Lessons Are Fun

This week we have begun our swimming lessons again. We have a half hour play in the wave pool. Yesterday we had lots of floating equipment to experiment with.We then go in to have our lessons in our groups. It is so much fun, but we are tired when we get back to school.

This morning in Room 14 we put foam capsules in a plastic cup. They expanded! Bubbles went around the capsules. The colour of ours was blue. Our one was a dinosaur. I was happy and excited.You had to be careful because the water was hot.
